10/24/14 Fall Foliage: 2014

A breath-taking fall reflection as fall colors peak during October in Peoria, IL

Over the last couple of weeks, I've found some down time to capture some fall scenes across the local-area and other locations seen here. Every year I venture out during the month of October to shoot the fall colors as they peak in the area. This year, I once again visited several local parks around Peoria, IL. Those parks I visited included: Charter Oak Park, Sommer Park, and Jubilee College State Park. I once again was able to capture some spectacular fall scenes. I used my Canon 5D Mark III and Canon 7D along with my Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L lens, Canon EF 70-300mm f4.0-5.6 IS lens, and Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 macro lens to capture the colors of fall this year. It was fun to enjoy the tranquil fall weather and of course get out and do some photography as always just like in years past as well. I've added many of my favorite fall photos I shot this October below:

Well, another successful few weeks of fall photography for myself comes to a close. Fall is one of my favorite seasons especially since it follows some grueling months of traveling during the spring and summer months chasing storms and all. It sure is nice to relax for a change and really enjoy the fall scenery Mother Nature provides. I'll update once again with more photography posts over the coming winter months as needed.
