10/22/13 Fall Foliage: 2013

A photogenic wooden bridge and fall colors west of Peoria, IL

This past fall, I was hard at work photographing the change in seasons across central Illinois. Every year I usually spend a great deal of time trying to capture beautiful fall scenes across the area and this past year was no different. Every year it gets harder and harder to top some of my previous photos over the past few years. This year involved quite a bit of traveling and many hours of photography, but I'm usually pleased by the time I gather up some of my favorites. Many of the photos shot below were locally in Peoria, IL and Kewanee, IL at various parks and scenes I came across during my travels. I've added quite a large collection of my favorite photos from this past fall below:

It was quite a productive few weeks of fall photography last year. Once again, I was quite pleased to find some spectacular fall scenery as usual. Usually after completing my fall photo collection I don't get too many photo opportunities until winter tightens its grip over the area. In November, a surprise opportunity presented itself however. I'll update at a later date with a post regarding a local storm chase from November 17th. Stay tuned.
