01/02/14 Christmas: 2014

Testing out my Canon 5D Mark III that I purchased this past holiday season
at my apartment in Peoria, IL

This past Christmas, I shot a few photos of my Christmas tree to get a couple "holiday season" shots. At this time, I had just upgraded to a Canon 5D Mark III so it was time to get the feel of a new DSLR so I shot a few photos of my Christmas tree in my apartment. This past holiday season was hectic to say the least at work so I didn't have much time for outdoor photography unfortunately. This winter has also been tough to deal with keeping myself indoors as well. Anyhow, I've added a few quick photos I shot below:

My Christmas tree!
A rather neat ornament...
Damn, I'm getting old!
It wouldn't be Christmas without a tornado ornament on the tree...
Another close-up!

I'll be curious to test out my Canon 5D Mark III especially in low-light situations in the coming months and later this year when we get into summer. I've only just started to understand the capabilities this new camera has to offer. I'm already impressed especially with the HDR shooting-mode. Absolutely love it! More posts to come...
